i think the reason is that Myako is a monster but Yuurei is a spirit so people can see Myako because she has a physical form be it the cat or the little girl but Yuurei doesn't so only people that can see the "other side" can see her, i sa other side because i expect mediums and spiritualists to see her too or anyone with spiritual power even if they dont know it

no I don't think that's it. Remember when she wanted to delivered the packed lunch to Fujihara? Nobody in that crowd saw or heard her. Myako is probably seen by people because she's a ghost CAT more likely connected to animal death rather than human. The old couple, Fujihara, Satsuki see her because she's connected to people through death. That is my theory though.

Myako and yuurei too young to go shopping and little knowledge lol I agree with you fushihara I be worried if kids are doing that in real life lol! Love how myako and yuurei got scared of butcher fish and stumbled there tounges love it classic moments! And the last few scene myako and yuurei failed to scare fushihara with her strong imagination of cuteness!

Kids that age do go shopping in Japan for their parents, theres even a TV show that follows them around 'my first errand'. Kids in Japan arent as sheltered as American kids (who get driven everywhere due to car culture and infrastructure built only for cars and things not in walking distance)
